Here is a 2008 P71. I bought it as a parts car for my challenge car, but that's tricky. Mostly I wanted the wheels. And I'll charge a lower price if you let me keep the wheels but take the car.

The good: It runs and drives, front tires are brand new, just a little surface rust starting on the front drivers side wheel well.

The bad: Rear tires are bald, intake tube and MAF sensor are missing, no radio, no horn, bit of a wiring mess from being pulled from service, not currently inspected in PA, won't pass without at least a horn and intake, won't run without a jump start but stays running with jumper cables removed. I think the battery is dead.

There is evidence of a mouse nest, but as far as my OBD2 scanner and the way it runs, on top of a lack of finding any mouse E36 M3, I'd say everything about that is fine.

There is a bit of a title hiccup. This car was purchased from the same auction I bought mine at. The county sheriffs have filled out and stamped the part of the title that they were supposed to, but they also filled out the "new owner" part with the information of the guy I bought it from. He never signed the title, and never registered it because that E36 M3 is expensive here in PA, and neither have I. I don't know what kind of problems that may cause at the notary, but probably not a big deal if you don't go to a Norwin Messenger.

Another forum member had mentioned buying it, so it's just been sitting. I haven't really heard from him, and need the space, so I'm putting it up for sale. I'm asking $600, as that's what I paid for it. If you leave me the wheels, I'll go $500. I'm also looking for tools and an 1.6 miata turbo setup(I've seen a few guys selling them here before in this price range, figure I'll throw it out there)

More pictures are available on request. The drivers side door has been replaced at some point in time, as the vin on the door doesn't match the dash or the title.

I've driven the car a total of 3 miles, in the rain, at night. It rode fine, transmission felt good, but without an intake and bald rears I didn't push it too hard.

It will be going on craigslist for more money March 1st if it's still here.

This is where the MAF used to be. I have no idea what happened there.

Anyone?

Challenge fodder, family hauler, Copcar-o-cet donor?

One last bump before it goes on Craigslist or becomes a death kart. And since I don't have a way to tow it anywhere, would almost be a waste to turn it into a kart.

alright. So I just got back from the notary.

$200 and 2 months wool get the title put in my name. Screw that.

So after may 28th, this will start being parted out.

Need an engine donor? 4R70W? Any glass or anything? Let me know.

I'll ship what I can, but pick up would be easier for stone things obviously.

E36 M3. you got a link to your craigslist add? Need to send to the wife.

I think I can register it in SC. So long as the title is signed by the guy you bought it from. (transfer the title to my name.)

In reply to Mad_Ratel:

This is the sale ad, ive been kind of dreading putting it on craigslist.

I know I've transferred titles like this in California no problem, but PA isn't interested in the least without transferring to the original buyer then transferring to me, which is why Im thinking of parting it out now.

If you are interested, please double or triple check with SC before you wind up with a lawn ornament/parts car like I did.

I still have a couple weeks before I'll have the space to break it down, so I'm open to offers I the mean time.

I have two issues. 1.) the title (duh) 2.) getting up to you and back. (it's a damn long day.)

Is there no way to get the guy you bought it from to sign the title? I'm fairly sure a bill of sale would work then.

He has signed it, as the purchaser. But never sent it in to the state, cause it's $100 to transfer because we have to go to a private notary and pay their fees, and he was just going to use it for parts. The county, who is the previous owner, has signed it over and notarized it already.

That makes me think a bill of sale from CJ, that I should be able to get, would be perfectly fine in states that use a bill of sale, we just live in a state that doesn't.

hmm I'd need a BOS signed by him as the seller. I think. I'll need to do some politicking at home. My wife is NOT a huge fan of me having projects...

edit: No notary is required in SC.

If you part it and leave the rolling chassis and steering as such that it could be used to place an old body on, i'd be interested in helping make that disappear. I have roller wheels. Thinking about chassis swap for the Belair because comfort and ability to install a real hitch(something about 1954 belair towing 1954 Devin makes me tingly inside).

In reply to patgizz:

This actually went away last weekend, and I should have updated this thread, that's on me.

45 Minutes on craigslist. I've never had a transaction so fast and smooth before.

I'm keeping an eye out for more auctions. The person who bought it has 5 now, so it shouldn't be too hard to come by.
