Had a one for Driver Ed in HS to teach kiddies the third pedal. Quite a spirited car for a 17 year old.
Rolled one of those with my GF at the time, now wife of 41 years, in 1977. Being a 20 year old jackass, we weren't wearing seatbelts and I pitched it into a left turn, tucked the outside axle and over she goes. 360 roll and it ended up on its wheels. GF sitting on the road with her back against the open door; me in the passenger seat facing out the drivers window. Absolutely sheer dumb luck nobody got hurt. I wince about that to this day every time I see one of those on the road which is thankfully not often. I'm wincing now...
Got something out of it: We started wearing seatbelts EVERY SINGLE TIME we got into a car from that moment on and I stopped being as much of a jackass on the road.
