Does it actually need to have an engine? I think I know some one with a 60s Cortina GT for sale.

The standard answer over here in the UK would be Mk1 or Mk2 Escort, but I guess you didn't get those over in the US?

They have a cult following over here for any sort of motorsports and the time where you could pick them up for a few pounds are long gone.

Dunno, it was offered to me in trade for another car awhile back. He's member here so if he wants to sell I'm sure he'll pipe up. Or if there's a serious buyer I'll trade him and sell it to ya ;)

BABE, Lemons and GRM....thats the only firm plan. As far as the "how" I have a few ideas ;) But I need to get the car here and get measurments and see how its put together. But we have 9 months to build which isnt alot when you've got families and 2 out of the 4 people involved live over an hour and a half away. But we'll find a way.

A man after my own heart. You should have recieved a message from the owner of the Cortina now. I think we've got something going that benefits all of us :)

My very first car was one of these, I paid $70 for it.

I need something small and light, prefer to go with ford, but a Chevette will work. My trailer is 5 X 9 feet, it has to fit on that.

Or find a 70's Mercury Capri or Merkur XR4Ti. My '77 capri is said to weigh about 2400lbs with the 2.3L and big bumpers.
