I need an carberator style intake manifold for small black Chevy with Vortec heads. This is the 8 bolt design without the water crossover. Spreadbore would be be my first choice, but could adapt a square. Sure, I could buy a new one, but Challenge budget...
If you don't find one used, the JEGS model is usually the cheapest and often on sale.
I have been told you can use a standard sbc intake if you turn the bolt holes into slots by cutting it from the side.
I have a stock lower half I believe in my garage. You could fabricate an upper half of the intake I would imagine. I thought of doing so eventually on my challenge care to recoupe budget since I have the same set up for the carb.
