Reminds me of a stand up jet ski with a tiller style 25hp outboard on it. It was for sale on the side of a road with a handpainted sign that said runs great low hours. They were including the trailer for 1000 or 800 without no joyrides. I bet the test ride would involve a learning curve and a lot of alcohol. I'm sure holding on for dear life would come naturally knowing the prop was back there waiting for you.
That looks like fun. Although I might not jump right into a 115 Mercury outboard. Maybe something just over trolling size would be a good toe in the water (pun intended).
I think the hull needs to be painted up like a spear...
My cousin used to build boats like that. He said that they would do 25 mph with a 7 hp motor.
That sounded really uncomfortable to me.
