Exactly. In the span of 2 weeks, we went from paperweight of 3 years to burnouts ajd carnage. Im calling it a huge freaking win.

I still have a grin on my face this morning. And it was only about a mile round trip!
Can't wait for the day I can say the same with my project!
So, if the clutch fork is attached, all adjustment is used, and the clutch pedal goes to the floor, with no clutch disengagement, it pretry much means im dropping the trans and blowproof bellhousing, right?
could be input shaft siezed to pilot bushing
could be spring jumped out of clutch hub and is jammed between disc and flywheel or PP
those are the two "mechanical linkage clutch doesn't disengage when pedal is pushed" failures that i've experienced. both require pulling trans.
so yeah.
Yup.
Its back in time out while i save some money.....
Guess i finish other stuff that i have the parts for.
berkeleynuggets.
When you say clutch is adjusted all the way, do you mean the rod is as long as possible?
If it is as short as possible, it will do what you are describing.
Also, check that the fork is actually moving. Could be bad hydraulics.
As long as possible.
Fork was still connected, and throwout bearing is generally intact. However, looking through the fork hole, i see shrapnel. It went boom i think.
So, next step is going to be pulling the drivetrain when i save up for parts.....
Power Tour 2021! Thats supposed to be funny because ALL of my projects go just like this and I feel your pain
I was planning on power tour 2019. It's the 20th anniversary of dad and i doing it together in this car.
I may have the Caprice, tour worthy by then. Maybe I can take Alex in 2019 so he and I can do a 20 year anniversary run when hes in his mid 30s
Sorry to hear about the clutch problems.
I’m working toward 2019 Power Tour now. But first is 2018 Woodward Dream Cruise in about a week.
