That's a big long body panel and it looks very straight in that pic. Nice job, this is going to be a super cool truck!

Thank you very much. I can see some blemishes. A couple spots where I didn't get the Bondo quite flat and a couple dents I just completely missed. But like no home said the guy who did the work seems to point them out the most. It looks great with color on it.
Ignore the door gaps, those are factory. I swear.
But I learned so much on this. There were so many tiny spot welds that I filled all the way down this side and the other side.
Man, seeing the work you're putting out, and where you started from. Gives me hope for when I start on Rosie. Doin great, man
Seeing where you and the Tuna are at just getting it done makes me want to ....
NEVER paint a car again!

Just think of all the glorious noises it will make rolling down the road...

I had to switch back to the older term of Jalopy. Describes 'bout everything I've been proud to own!
The "modern" rat rod is something intentionally made poorly and stupid junk hung on it.
Looking great.

Good point. Rat Rod does not really work anymore. Intentionally left not painted I guess would be my next go too.
Something that's decent but not super nice I tend to call a street rat or a track rat. You know something you care about but isn't super high quality or show Worthy. It's A Step Above beater but a step below really nice driver. I've been calling yours a nice driver based upon what I'm seeing in pictures what street rat may be a better

I agree with your definition of those terms. But the "popularity" of the stupid over ugliness rat rod scenes, confuses the citizens. And most of GRM. So Jalopy it is, for me. (Since very few internet post actually get read, it's prolly a moot point)
We also agree that his is MUCH nicer!
Well I have two coats of clear on.
Good news, it must be thick.
Bad news. It's trying to get off the car. If it was a relay race I could. Go for miles. And it's also cottonwood season.
In reply to java230 :
Cotton wood is the devil, my friend is a body man and there is one about 200 yards from his shop. He won't open the doors because of it.
Yesterday it looked like it was snowing!
In reply to NY Nick :
It's snowing here.... And I just had the garage door cracked for a fan!
It's like this.... All over
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael :
Me too (see fire). Relaxing now. I'll try to fix the oil pan next week. I really want to bolt the wheels on and drop it!
