Awesome. Any clue what may have been preventing it?

Low battery I am Hoping? I think the tbi might be picky on voltage?
I think my jb weld fix isn't fixing....
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael :
Yeah it could see it squirting, then stopping and crank slowed. Picked up new battery last night. Did not get to install yet.
Which reminds me, I should really get an air filter....
It's deafiningly loud. And I think timing is miles off still. Gas pedal is also very sticky.

Noisewise, you might have the same issue I had with the Molvo: When it had the perfect ruble for the the spectators as I drove by, it was horrible loud and drony inside the big box that is a station wagon. In everyone's opinion, the car is too quiet now.
In reply to Recon1342 :
Yeah.... A little.
Yeah or no? I have had this 8 ball for literal decades waiting to be a shift knob for something.
Great news that it started. Fuel injection systems HATE low voltage. ECU needs the jolt to wake up and get to work.
Well brake lights do technically work. But they are crazy dim. Prob bad ground is my guess.
Turn signals, would they need the load from the front as well to trigger an old school flasher relay?
Edit: tail and driver side brake works. Seems like contacts on bulb and or housing are getting pretty warn. Wiggling makes things work then not etc.
Door handles, check. They are beat to hell from living in my tool box for the last few years. But they work.
Tail lights, brake lights (intermittent?) and turn signals (sometimes?) check.
Setting timing.... To get close just set pickup to #8 at TDC.
Once warm, it should be 0 degrees with the advance unplugged.
Timing light should shine on 0d....
What's the easiest way to find TDC??
It's running. But I'm pretty sure it's off.
So the tbi instructions I have mention a timing bypass.... Tan wire with black stripe, but that appears to be in the main connector to me.
It's sitting just over 21deg at idle and advances more with throttle application currently.
Never mind, I found the advanced disconnect connector. It's set to 0° now. Or it's 180° off.
One of my fancy stainless wire DIY hose clamps is leaking. But I guess it means the cooling system pressurized?
Timing is set. It automatically advances to 15 at idle .
I took the leaf blower to the interior. It's a bit better. And smells like a 70s smoker car now that it's out in the sun ๐คฃ
I reinstalled all the door seals.

That's why God invented exhaust cut-outs.
My Jaaaag had them. It was absolutely the best of both worlds.
In reply to Indy - Guy :
TBD. I may down the line. Easy enough to cut in later.
On that.... Cats or no cats? I won't have a back window for awhile. So may be worth it....
A few hours of zip ties. Trying to Tidy the wiring mess..... Still. Not. Great. But mostly away from spiny and hot bits.
Added Amazon special puke tank. It's nicely welded stainless actually!
In reply to RacetruckRon :
I actually tried to find it when you were asking.... I bought it so long ago that seller isn't on Amazon anymore. But there are lots of others that look the same for about $25.
This one looks identical. The inlet and overflow ports are tiny tho FYI.
