That looks really nice.

I'm pretty sure I know that gas station (across from Avery)
Track day this weekend sure seems like a heck of a shake down on a used car that you've likely put less than 100 miles on.
Good luck and the Corvette looks great.
Hey its only Tuesday...
I have built cars and raced them in one day. Heck I am not even welding a cage in this one.
At home in the garage...

Stop rubbing it in. As I go into year 4 of my project people like Mr Pimpin make me feel inadequate!
This whole project was a full week less than a month to purchase two cars and get the shizzle done, painted and driving. In 40 years of playing with cars, I have never met a painter that could do a paint job in under a month and 5k. The MGB took 5 years to paint and this got done in a week and 2k.
Is that paint good at only 5ft? or is it at 1 ft good? (i.e. it looks fantastic and I cannot believe he got it done in that time/cost.)
Totally Jealous. I'D LOVE something like this. (and the cost is so reasonable vs what people want for them.)
The paint is good, I am very happy for the price point and turn around.
It is BASF RM Diamont which to my understanding a middle of the road product.
Looks great no real blemishes to speak of, but I will know more when I get a chance to wash it tomorrow.
Wow, I can't believe how little money you spent on this. C5s really are at the bottom of their curve, and the C5 is my favorite 'Vette, and do I have room in my garage for one, and ???
So I had a little parts installation party. Two buddies stopped by and helped get the vette ready for Roebling.
What is it with corvette owners...
I don't know much about performance suspension for Vettes, but that car would have to get some moderate lowering springs if it was mine.
And a snotty sounding exhaust.
Just enough to let people know that the car is owned by a hot rodder and not a gold chain wearing mid life crisis having mid level executive.
Looking really good with the gold wheels. Overall it came out really nice. Can't wait to hear tales of it being driven in anger.
You have a blue car with gold wheels. You know what you have to do:
May I suggest some Corvette flags instead of the "(555"
This thread is the perfect example of what brings me back to this forum. It shows you what's possible to do with some skill, luck and determination. I like appreciating others' work. Further, it causes me to think about possibilities I wouldn't have otherwise considered. Am I going to go buy a C5? Not this week or month. Did I go dive in and look to see what's out there? Absolutely. I would have never even thought about a C5 till I saw this thread, but it's surprising to see what's out there if you just look. Even if you don't want to go take 2 cars and make a good one, for just a few grand more, you can buy one mostly ready to go. And they are not as 90's looking as I expected, once you make a few upgrades (that factory shift knob in particular is awful).
