I know it's coming back apart, but still. Looks great!

Thanks!
This part stinks. YAY it looks great! WHAM it's all back in pieces again. BOO!
I am starting to think that this involuntary assembly is a really good thing. It's forcing me to figure out which parts I need, which ones I don't, which bolts I should buy, and how to get stuff to fit. Since primer is the next step, it's perfectly timed.
I got the hood latch on yesterday. I'm just throwing it all together for now and will spend hours and hours replacing bolts and shimming and lining things up at the new house. Then it comes apart and gets all primer-pretty.

Picture of new home for tuna truck? Have a cold one, you've earned it
The new house is a royal screw up. I will try to find time to snap a picture between chasing new and exciting leak spots.

oh no!
That's not good. Sounds like my brothers new place. He bought a just built place, like he moved in the week construction finished. First night we were there helping him move some furniture while his oldest kid goes to take a bath. Little did he know, running a bath upstairs was the signal to turn on the impromptu water feature on the first floor! Water started running out one of the can lights, while it was on.
Not the only leak for him, sadly, but it's a nice looking house and the garage is huge.
They finished our neighborhood with crown homes. Nearly EVERY neighbor in one has had issues. of the 7 or so homes.
2 have had their septic that is uphill of the house backflow into the house.
4 have had roof damage in mild winds.
3 have had permanant rain leaks.
1 had to have the entire front porch removed and reinstalled as it was off 4" from one side to the other.
Rest of the homes are full customs...
Do we need to assemble a repair crew and head out to you for a weekend home repair bender?
If so, I'm game.

HAHA! Thanks.
We're hiring a pro for the windows.
I'm doing the shower on the weekend of the 28th (when it arrives).
I'm pulling down crown molding tonight to inspect.
You're always welcome.
Unrelated to anything to do with anything, but I noticed that this thread is up to page 98. Can we get a roll call of people following just so that we can get it over the 100 page mark? I am not that patient.
Pete
I joined the board just to follow after discovering this thread. Flying home for a wedding and week and a half wrench party on my own 72. Oh the joys of being stationed overseas.
I absolutely love this thread!!!
