Can't wait to see it in person. So cool!
If you don't have time for the Ojai scoop please block off the grill opening as well as the headlamp holes. All that air coming into the bodywork makes a ton of lift and a ton of drag.
Hmmm. What to do with these metal-za-pies?
I have an idea.
Uh oh. Rivets applied.
Look at all the room for activities!
And finished with a piece of coroplast with a mural on it from my daughter.
I think we're close enough to 450 hours to just call it that.
Trailer's loaded. Leaving tomorrow morning bright and early.
This is amazing. You are an inspiration. Good Luck, Safe Travels, Bring back shiny (or rusty/poky, dangerous) Things!
if you managed to take some coroplast with you... or have some spare metal. And, only because the top hood scoop is "open"...
I'd put a small 'spoiler' on the backside of the upper part of the hood over the ojai scoop.
Good Luck!

I spent 450 hours trying to find tools I just had 5 minutes ago.
Oof, this hits home... Also, fasteners, zip ties, tape, keys, food, drink, sanity, etc.
Well, the body doesn't improve driveability (haha).
We struggled in the autox today compared to where we know the car can be because big bumps would induce a horrible harmonic bounce in the car. Once the car was bouncing, the only way to stop was to wait.
Many gates were missed and many dnfs were achieved simply because we were turning hard one moment and airborne the next. We still posted a respectable time eventually but it wasn't near as fast as the car can be.
Great news is we were reliable, had many runs for multiple drivers (including my little brother's first 3 autox runs ever - welcome to the deep end haha), car pulls hard, shifts great, looks awesome, and sounds the business.
Drag rained out today, looking forward to hammering some gears tomorrow.

Congrats on the reliability!
Did you ever mess with tire pressures?
This thing is simultaneously amazing and intimidating. Like college girls when I was in high school.
Did 4 drag runs, each faster than the last. Final best time of 13.608 at 94.67.
Super happy with drag performance. Car hooks hard, and goes straight. Very easy to drive on the drag strip.
And it still sounds the business, the launch control and quickshifter are frickin sweet. Go to line, hold clutch in, mat throttle. On green, release clutch smoothly but smartly, and then remember to shift before redline. Shifting is as easy as pulling back hard on the shifter while leaving the throttle matted, totally clutch less, and very fast.
I'll work on getting pics and video and more up later.
Good job, are you going to bring it back again for round two? I'll ship the googly eyes over for next year.
This was a great car to look at in person. Very cool to see how it comes together and looks just right.
berkeleying awesome weekend, Robbie. Thank you for letting me be part of your team!
And if you don't bring that thing back after a year of tweaking with it and refining it then you're out of your mind.
You'll need to log in to post.
