Your patch game is strong
Indeed it is!
Depending on how bad my day goes I"ll try & swing by for an update on the way home.
Today: removed driveshaft. Burned out the stupid plastic gm used to retain the u joint caps. Discovered there wasn't any sort of plug in the yoke so the hole was just open to piss trans fluid. I'm not one to berkeley around so I drilled it and tapped for a 1/8 npt plug with some rtv for good measure. Reinstalled driveshaft.
undercoated the floor repairs from yesterday and put away the tools from that project.
removed crappy temporary rotor from RF and got the bearings packed and new one on. Caliper for that corner found a black hole somewhere, of course after I put the banjo bolt in it. I can't find it anywhere. Stole caliper for chevelle, but I'm down a bolt. We all looked all over, no idea. Went to put the stainless brake hose on and the -3an end barely had threads in the fitting, and it wouldn't hold the adapter. I'm going to throw those junk hoses in the scrap pile and ordered delco hoses for a G body along with another banjo bolt for delivery tomorrow. i need to sell some E36 M3 so I can afford a pair of tires for the front

Whatchu wanna sell? I could use some tools or knowledge or just some help at next year's challenge.
"Hey pete, got a banjo bolt?"
"Yeah, new calipers come with new ones, I never use 'em, so I have brake pad boxes full of them..."
Paranormal happening: i found the other banjo bolt(and 2 used ones) but not the caliper. I may be imagining a 2nd caliper? Either way I swiped both fronts from the chevelle and have 4 new calipers on. Remade the LF brake line because I hated the premade one and had to go longer. The G body lines are...not as long as expected? The 57's hose bracket is at the top of the frame(drum brakes, wheel cyls enter at top of spindle) and the caliper takes the hose at the bottom. Thankfully have some universal brackets that just need filed out for the gm nubs that keep the hose from turning. Right side on, left is ready for that process and hose/line but the mosquitoes are awful.
Pete I'll have a handful of m10 banjo bolts please
Rob? I've got so much E36 M3 to sell it's crazy. We're having a yard sale on the 9th and I'm trying to get serious about listing stuff again because the ebay shelf is full. I'm really wanting to but not putting much effort forth toward selling the sand rail, that's an albatross at this point.
Remembered: also shot fluid film inside the repairs through the seat bolt holes and inside the rocker panels. Finished the last floor patch under the back seat and painted that. Because of the location I just knocked the rusty crap off and panel bonded a patch over it. Chased the old bolt holes on the driver's side too, had to borrow a 5/16-24 tap. I'm kinda disappointed the new floor brace with the seat mounts has coarse thread holes, so my fasteners are mixed now.
Dave Newbern found a place in TX that has an amazing amount of Tri 5s. Male owner passed and his wife is selling everything. He pulled 8 of them out.
??????and no I didn't watch the video................so I presume there's drama, but I'm not seeing FLUIDZ gnight

Intellitronix. They're local-ish to me, and I wish I could recommend them, but they were a bear to deal with. The gauges were delayed so they tossed a little piece in a box and shipped it to me to not get dinged by ebay for missing the arrival date. They absolutely did not reply to any communication. I ordered their "LS swap" gauges which was just sending unit adapters. The tach needs to run 4 cylinder mode for an LS without messing with the pcm, and they shipped a v8 only tach without the dip switch on the back for 4/6 cyl operation. I had to scale the tach output in the pcm for that to read correctly. On top of all that, I had to oval the mount holes in the circuit board to get them lined up with the factory holes they were supposed to fit. At several points in the install, which took several days because of all the issues, I wanted to drive the 50 miles and put my truck through their office door to see if THAT would get a reply.
1/10 do not recommend.
Sitting here wondering to myself what this thing is worth as a running driving project that needs some tinkering(gauges still not right, computer needs tuned). I'm not looking to do anything rash but the room would be nice. I'm probably just burned out on it and need to step back a bit and bummed because one of the drag radials broke a belt, there's a huge split around the tire and it doesn't hold air anymore.
i'd love to (redacted) intellitronix to the ground. What a waste of time and money. That's the single most disappointing thing of the whole project.
idk where my head is currently at. the Skyline is amazing and I hop in and go. The Wartburg is now at that stage. This car is able to be there but at the same time part of me is wondering if the unicorn of my youth is checked off the list and time to just move on and buy a nice wrx. Like I was behind an STi wagon a little bit ago and I'd fluid film one and enjoy it all year. It was wonderful having my bugeye. I've got cars on cars on cars, something has to give. My 54 Belair was a better driving/handling car and it's been off the road for 11 years in a barn.
210's that are for sale are always rotted out piles of garbage. This is not that that. 20-30k is not out of the question
