Can confirm now that the tires drive nicer on the highway. They are 1" taller than stock IIRC, so the acceleration suffers a little but it seems to cruise better at speed. I'm genuinely surprised at how quiet they are.

Great color combo! I too was surprised when I put the large Wildpeaks on the Touareg how much quieter they are than the all seasons. Acceleration didn't seem to suffer much with the TDI torque.

I've been (non-seriously) trolling CL for the last year or two for a Cayenne to carry out this exact concept. I probably would go TT though. Something about all terrains and choo choo noises would make me ridiculously happy.

Went wheeling today. Had fun. None of my old haunts are open anymore.
Those wheels are sweet and I didn't know Nokian made things other than snow tires.
Very nice. I'd probably lift it an inch or so and stuff just a little more tire in there (but I'm running 265 70r17s on the F1Shifty; lots of lovely sidewall!).
Still, those wheels are the hotness. I approve wholeheartedly!!!

I sold it today to a young guy that's going to make it an awesome trail rig. I took a pretty hefty bath on this one, but you can't win them all and I did drive it for a about 16 months and put around 18,000 miles on it. Good car, I just need to know my limit on cars and also stop buying trucks. I suck at trucks.
They are becoming more and more popular now that companies like Eurowise have made more parts for them. I love mine and don't drive it nearly enough.
How much did you end up letting it go for? I'll be honest, it really interested me but I'm already stretched pretty thin on cars and projects. Knowing me, I would've immediately started researching manual swaps.
