I really, REALLY like the effect of the overspray past the tape lines. 

Do NOTHING to remove it.

My Opel will have a lace roof in tribute to my Cuban great grandad.

I'm going to do a lace roof on something, someday, but it will be pre-65 for sure.

That looks amazing! I agree the overspray looks cool on the hood and roof, but not on the leading edge of the nose. Acetone on a rag will wipe that off no problem. May want to go over the windshield while you're at it.

The overspray is definitely a surprise and delight. If I planned to keep it right from the start, I would have taped the outside of the drivers side roof stripe straighter. totally agree re. cleaning the overspray off the nose.

i've seen lace on corvairs and it does look sick, but this is not the car for it.

What does the blue look like if you dampen a rag and wet it a little? Wondering what the whole car would look like if you waxed it when you are finished...
