Maybe you covered this previously, but why not simply enclose the entire area around the engine from side to side? Why the box with the space on either side? Isn't that a lot more work? Couldn't you have done one front panel from door to door and then a cover across the entire rear seat area?
Good question, and a design choice that I have not addressed until now. There are a couple of reasons:
- I didn't want to lose access to the rear window cranks.
- I wanted a dedicated space for battery and "under-hood" fuse panel.
- There is no third reason.
yes, it's a lot more work to do it this way.
No car work tonight. Had to raise a glass with some old buddies in memory of another old buddy who passed back in 2010.

Just dont want to beat you because of some simple detail. Want to win fair and square!

Dont toss those composite covers. If you want to sell them I may be interested. The metal covers will clear just cut out the supports. I ran pro mags under mine and just had to snip of the supports.

We're talking overall right? Need to check my nitrous.

Whatcha got?
Second place buys first and third dinner.
Which should encourage us to win, or break it trying!

Thanks for the info about the supports, should be easy peasy to mod. If MonZora is good enough to keep, I'm gonna hunt down a set of Magnesium covers. About the composite covers, I read they wouldn't clear the aluminum GMPP 1.6 rollers with the drippers in place, so I busted those off. You are first in line when/if I ditch them.

Full Send is the only Send I've got. I really hope my clutch holds.

I'm in. So how will you buy AC dinner if he's still in Michigan with an unfinished Monzora?

I'll send them a coupon for a frosty at Wendy's

I've got issues. Getting these for $250 tomorrow. Unique and aerodynamic drag skinnies.

19x4.5 iirc. OK, quick check of car-part.com says my memory is wrong. Front 19x5, rear 19x5.5
I'm not sure how i would use them, but i feel like i should own a pair.

If the load rating is OK, I'm gonna bolt em onto the E92 as a goof. They're almost 28" diameter so maybe too tall for MonZora front wheel houses.

I have a plan in which the hammer plays a minor role.
What's the PCD on those BMW wheels? Or is that not going to be a factor?

GTO spares where the go to cheap 4th gen skinnies for a long time. Some people complained about wheel strength but I saw a bunch of people running them
