Red headers means too much combustion energy going out the exhaust. You sure the timing is advanced far enough?

Are you running the Fitech supplied temperature sensor or did you replace it with a GM part? For years Fitech shilled a known-bad temperature sensor that kept the TBI from going into closed loop operation.
We are at 18 degrees right now. The video is only about 4 min of run time in. The fitech really started smoothing things out more after this video.
no home what part number are people replacing it with? This is a 4 year old fitech that is getting run for the first time.
we made it 12 min in and lost the lower radiator hose.
im confident we will get everything ironed out.
After discussions with engine builder and my FE guru i have the AFR all jacked up. Will be dropping it considerably for the next run. 13.8 at idle is the new goal.
Ran the motor again for another 15 min. All seems well. Time to button up the last few things and try and drive it
Master cylinder has been replaced. Hopefully bleed the brakes in the am. Close to having it in the road
First impressions
-wow really need to attach the column correctly
-thing is nasty sounding.
-clutch pedal is awkward- needs major adjustment
got a lot of buttoning up to do. Car goes for a power bleed of the brakes Monday and goes to the exhaust shop Tuesday. Tomorrow morning will be a bunch of thrashing on clean up items.
Deleted a bunch of old wiring. Finished installing the column. Got the new oil pressure modified to fit the dash. Stoked how it came out. Will post pictures Monday after I put everything back together.
Swapped in my new oil pressure/coolant temp gauge for the factory clock cover. Should turn out great once I get the dash put back together
Gonna try and do 20 miles in the car. It's getting dark, car hasn't driven more than 4 miles. Pray for me
I drove the car yesterday to have a mechanical shop down the road to power bleed the brakes. Turns out the rear hose from the frame to the rear-end collapsed internally. Found something that would work at a local parts store and we were ready to go.
Drove back to the shop and it was running great. slowly getting hot (turns out the fan relay isn't working). Troubleshoot that once we got back to the shop and ground wired it so they would run all the time. Go to restart the car to leave and it wont start and its just puking fuel.
Turns out one of the injectors is stuck wide open and just dousing the motor with fuel. Need to research what to do and how to swap out a injector on the fitech. Not happy but honestly happy there is a smoking gun.
