I am a new member making my first post right here.
From Southern California and have been fooling around with cars for a very long time.
I agreed to take this car from my buddy sight unseen.
It is a 'roller'.No engine.Getting rusty '60 4 door with it for engine.
Just going to work on it when time and money permit.
The car has been 'lightened' and has Lexan windows.Don't know which windows even.:)
Have been getting up to speed on Corvairs. They are interesting.
That is where it stands as of right now.

Your photos do not show. Please post them direct from your hard drive.
Clark's Corvairs is your friend. Since you're starting with a shell you can do anything! Familiar with V-8 'Vairs?
It may be more work than you want, bit go to the Builds section and see "Monzora". BTW, a 1960 Corvair has the same wheelbase as a mid-80s Malibu.

' Your photos do not show. '
We (Dad and I) have not even gotten a picture. My friend knows Corvairs A to Z and he described it to us and asked if we want it.We said yes. That is where it stands.
Clarks we know of.The west coast version of Clark's was Corvair Underground.
They called it quits a couple years ago.
' starting with a shell you can do anything! '
Probably going to keep it as it was done by original owner.Save the far out stuff for tube frame build.Better accessibility on a tube frame.Plus a bunch of other reasons it works for us.
' Familiar with V-8 'Vairs?'
Yes.I will stay loyal to friends I have made learning about Corvairs and use a Corvair engine.
Have one of the most powerful V8's built (pre 1970) a Lincoln 430.That goes in drag frame.
' It may be more work than you want '
Yes.Did our time eat,sleep and breathing a project.Now we just putter.Patience is a virtue.
I was motivated to register by this post. That guy thinks like us.More or less.

I just noticed it IS NOT from this forum.Anyhow.I like the way this guy talks.
In reply to The Californian :
First gen looks way cooler than that Monzora second gen Corvair.
Just remember Corvair motors run "backwards" so if you plan on running a supercharger make sure it turns in the correct rotation.....

I wholeheartedly disagree... LM corvair are the bomb
' if you plan on running a supercharger make sure it turns in the correct rotation..... '
That post of his was just to show how I liked the guy making engine power on a budget.
No plans for supercharging right now.
We are not quite 'Powered by Junk'.Probably 'Powered by Rock Auto Parts' covers it.
' one of us actually knows what he's talking about'
Fascinating.I just use the 'start typing.Engage brain later' method myself.:)
I'm not a corvair guy. However, i have acess to a couple first gens if theres something you need that i dont.
And this place was roadkill WAY before roadkill was a thing.
Thanks Michael

Thanks.I have noticed they are sort of 3/4 size cars. There is a youtube 'Falcon instead of Corvair'.
Made by Ford of course! Might of been camera angles.Corvair looks pretty small.
They're cool!
