Is quad turbos one of those "seemed like a good idea at the time" plans, or is there another reason? I wholly support it, in any event.

Its a bodyless car and its ugly. I wanted some eye candy. The turbos were sized just right so they are still 100% functional with no major increase in spool.

Since they are only moving 1.2L of air each, they are still crazy efficient at 24-30 PSI, meaning I could make some major power with them before they start to just push hot air. Not bad considering I have like $640 in all four of them.

Roadkill started the Vette Kart craze.

This one takes the cake, though. Plus it's Sloppy, which is always nice.

How can something be so wrong yet so VERY right at the same time???

I need this in my life. Must acquire: Welder, Air Compressor, plasma cutter........fabrication skills.... Then I'll be ready.

This thing is awe-inspiring. Thanks for sharing it with us.

This thing is absolutely ridiculous, and I mean that in the best way possible. I can't imagine the looks on the balding, mustachio'ed, loafer wearing crowd as they walk up to this thing at cruise nights and see the HORROR of what you did to one of their beloved C4 Corvettes!

Keep up the GREAT work, and I can't wait to see the Chupacabra in it's final form!

That makes total sense.

totally biased but I really like where you are going with this (I am building a C5 vette cart currently, dubbed LS1-KART).

if you want to keep on the cheap like I plan too, go with rep OE wheels brand ZR1 17x11 wheels ($130/each). then sumitoro makes a sub-200TW tire 315 series for around $150/each.

Bolt some hatch louvers to the rollbar to "close in" the rear over the fuel cell, and throw a set of the widest track slicks you can.

Throw in a roll cage and this thing would be a monster on track

I scored the C6 Z06 wheels for $200. Someone had painted them and they look like ass, but I'll fix that. As far as tires for the 19x12 wheels, Copper Zeon RS3-S tires in 325/30/19 are only $165 shipped each from Amazon. A buddy of mine owns a shop (the one I use for dyno in all of my videos), he can get them a little cheaper and mount them for me. Its sad that the 275/35/18s for the front wheels are more expensive than the massive ones for the rear.

Once I get the new cam in, I'm going to destroy what tires I have left while I do a little base tuning before I toss it on his engine dyno.

I actually get that reaction a lot when someone sees it while I'm out. Them: "Why would you do that to a Corvette!?" Me:"Want to take a ride?" Them: "No that thing scares the hell out of me" Me: "Mission Accomplished."

Honestly, the way the car sits was kind of out of laziness. I rushed to get it driveable and then couldn't stay out of it long enough to get any work done. I had planned on cleaning all of the original white paint up, and then painting everything Army Green. I've even had the paint since before the car was running. I had also planned to pull the 4.8 in favor of an aluminum 5.3 but I'm going to stick with the 4.8 until it blows. I had a manual valve body TH400 built with some upgrades, and tossed in this stock TH400 because I was impatient and wanted to drive. I realized that this gated shifter would be a pain to drive with a manual TH400 so now I don't know what I'm doing. I had also planned on throwing in a 6L80e with paddle shifters, but that won't likely happen either.

Decisions..

Definitely inspiration. I'll be painting it as soon as the cage is installed. It looks like I'll be fabricating the cage myself, which has been the main reason for the delay. I had someone who was going to do it cheap (sponsor?), but he keeps pushing back the date and changing his mind back and forth.

Cam has delivered. I'll be doing valve springs, head gaskets, and cam in the next couple of weeks. I'm likely going to have to swap injectors as well. These stock injectors might carry me to 700 HP but I'm looking to go way passed that. I might just borrow the ones from my Nova. Looking to add another fuel pump as well. I haven't seen just how far anyone has pushed an AEM 380 yet. I can have arduino kick on the 2nd fuel pump when boost hits.

300whp in this car feels pretty similar to 500whp or so in a 3500 lb vehicle, but a lot scarier with zero traction and no doors or roof.

what stock injectors can support 700 hp? I plan on boosting my 4.8 down the road and was planning on running deka 80 lb injectors but if there is a cheaper option then im always down for that.

The stock 4.8 injectors with the pintle caps cut off. The caps are put on the ends of the injectors to create the spray pattern. Cut them off and you get full, unrestricted flow, and it only takes about 10 seconds each to cut them off.  With the stock engine at 8 PSI and 300whp, I was only at 50% duty cycle. I should be able to make 700 on an engine dyno with them no problems. The stock flex fuel injectors from a 5.3 with the caps cut off were only 80% at 600whp in a twin turbo 4.8 I did for a friend on a Dyno Dynamics dyno that reads fairly low. The best part is they're all basically free. Tricks like this helped me get what I have now on a $3500 budget.
