VM&P naptha melts plastidip. It'll be a mess but it'll melt it.
In reply to Nick Comstock :
Will that make it able to be pressure washed off? What will it do to weatherstripping that and Plastics Etc?
I read somewhere, that WD40 takes that dip off. I'm sure you have some, give it a whirl in an inconspicuous spot.
Glad to hear about the billet wheels. I am still interested in the steelies for the c10 when you are done with them.

Not sure but I would definitely test it first. It didn't seem to bother the rubber on the windshield surround though. Not sure about a pressure washer, I was removing a section that got damaged above the windshield to respray do I just wiped it off with a rag.

And you like cleaning rims in your spare time????
There was a time when I did. I used to polish my Boydz 17x8's at least monthly
I enjoy polishing aluminium and stainless steel. Kinda meditative.
Dad drove the new drivabeater today. He likes it.
Said it needs more brakes and tighter steering.
I said it needs exhaust and cleaning first. Brakes are safe, so is steering at the moment, but the exhaust has come completely apart and is dumping into the cab as of my return from downtown Charlotte today.
So this weekend will be building 2 exhaust systems. One on the challenge car, one for this truck.
Im also assembling a hell of a rockauto order.
Naptha should be ok on the rubber.
It's the recommended solvent for the Valspar tractor paint at TSC. It doesn't bother my hoses, plastic bins, extension cords etc while cleaning my gun.
I probably wouldn't use it on anything with a smooth/polished surface as it may still leave swirl marks.
You'd have to ask someone else about the efficacy re: plasti-dip though.

In theoy. I can't find evidence of anyone ever trying it before on the internet.
Preliminary measurement were close enough for me to buy one. However, i was unable to measure the frame mounting pattern and hardware to know for certain prior to purchase.
I'll be trying it out in a couple of weeks. So hold tight for now before buying parts.

Why do you like these so much better feedback?? Shoot, did you have to tweak the Elky rail all that much?
Excellent feedback, no internal stops, no on center dead spot, and not overboosted.
So much better than most power steering system's.
Which is funny because the Grand Cherokee guys are constantly upgrading them because they're "weak, vague, POSs."
One of the quick upgrades from a ZJ GC box which uses 3 bolts to the frame is a similar year Durango box that uses 4. I don't have the specifics though.
If you end up not being able to use that steering box, let me know. I still need one for my Chevelle and can help you recover the cost.

Will stay tuned and definitely doing the shaft swap.....thanks
Ted: ill keep that in mind! Still need to get you the 454tbi..
759: will keep everyone updated. Apparently i break new ground on mostbuilds, so why should this be any different?
Everyone else: ive decided to budget cap this yruck at what normal street value around here is. Which means 4k all in.
Score! 3/4 ton 6 leaf springs for 20 bucks, and the guy pulled them off for me at no additional cost.
May have to pull a leaf for ride quality, but well cross that bridge when we get to it.
Oh, and that was in a random side of the road stop during work in my miata. Pulled into a gravel big rig repair shop parking lot to do a couple of computer things in the miata. Then noticed the junkyard out back and asked.
new exhaust is in
Somehow its actually louder than the open exhaust. Not sure how that's possible but it is.
