So Stampie has offered up Lil Bastard as the Parking Lot Build for 2023. Nocones and I kind of spear heading these shenanagins and I have the car registered. We plan to fix the things that need real fixing, Fuel leak and manifold issues, do a full nut and bolt, maybe install some suspension that Nocones has if we have time. Should be fun!
Progress on the car will be posted here (probably) and organization will be at this thread: https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/2000-challenge/2023-parking-lot-build-lets-do-one/248043/page1/
Tires will be here Friday and this was acquired.
Trying to get all the receipts caught up for the guys. Realized I didn't have one from Eric so got that that.
Got more stuff in this week trying to get prepared for the guys.

I keep thinking of ways I could help in the parking lot or contribute in some way, and then I realize that I have already done more than enough damage to that car...
In reply to tb :
They might need you to do something. You did a good job of throwing a bunch of parts together to make a car.
In reply to tb :
Don't sell yourself short, we have so much more damage to do.
I can bring my welder and exhaust pipe expander to help.
I also plan to bring my coolant system pressure tester if anybody needs to diagnose a coolant system.
Plus, some hand tools and whatnot.
See yall next Thursday/ Friday!

Honestly, I am thrilled to see that this car lives on and people actually want to wrench on it. It is truly amazing to think of the amount of time I spent working on it and yet I never really bonded with it. Good thing I live for making mistakes, because mistakes were certainly made...
I'm not planning on packing any tools, but will provide moral support and well wishes.

Thanks!
My real value as an occasional challenge attendee is that I am quite experienced in emergency runs to the local auto parts / hardware stores.

I am planning on bringing a 120v welder but if that somehow falls through, I will definitely ask you to bring it along.
Apparently I've cured a few people of ever trying to do a parting lot build again or at least with one of my cars. It's amazing what they were able to do. Talking with nocones at concourse today he gave me a list of needs. I'm going to put that in here before I forget.
PVC valve
PPF bolt missing
Oil return to pan leaking
Wideband not reporting to MS correctly
Fuse for boost control causes #1 injector to flood the engine
Brake lights not working no brake switch
EDIT - Alternator not alternating
I was asked many times what my plans are. I had plans but now I'm not sure. I'm going to spend some time and think.
