Just did front wheel bearings, replaced hybrid battery, fresh PA inspection. 196K miles.Good mechanical shape, not pretty. Paint peeling, digs and scratches. Link to CL ad:

I love my similar Gen2 Prius. If today is Thursday, I predict this will be sold by Saturday afternoon if you are readily available for people to come see it.
There is a contradiction in the CL ad. Title of CL states '07 but body of CL ad says '05. Your car seems to have 2007 tail lamps (not 2005)
Ad critique. I would drop the first sentence where you start off with a disparaging comment about the car "not the prettiest..." Instead I would open with highlighting the good qualities of the car. After highlighting those positives, I would then mention the realistic negatives but be more thorough than "not the prettiest" Use words like you've added to the GRM posting like, "some scratches and paint imperfections as common of a vehicle this age."
For me, the pictures do not show the "not the prettiest" attributes in the ad. Since there is only front seat pictures of the interior my thoughts then are that the 200k mile interior is trashed and that is what makes the car "not the prettiest."
CL pictures are free. Put in the max number of pictures that CL allows. An example would be to show more interior and even an under hood shot.
I see in the one interior picture that the floor mat has a hole in it. I would pull the floor mat. I'll bet the floor under the mat looks better than the busted mat. I think the car will make a better first impression with the mat not there. Put the mat in the trunk,
This competitor of yours has nice pictures: https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/d/2005-toyota-prius-clean/7209710490.html
Annnnd... ad is gone. I believe John's prediction has proven correct!
Great ad advice, also.
Yes the year was a typo, we currently have 3 in the driveway and I got the titles mixed up.
Regarding my ad, sorry but it sold to the first person who came for asking price so maybe it was fine. I have found brutal truth and a little humor work very well. So no thanks to the writing lesson. Didn't ask for help and don't need it.

Congrats on the sale. It looked to be a good example at a good price.
Please know that my words were not intended to come off as harmful or condescending. Thanks for the reminder that my opinion is not always needed, unsolicited. Again, no intention to offend even though I may have. Sorry.

A little humility has never hurt anyone.

Thanks for providing your feedback on the ad. Even if it was not appreciated by the OP, I found it helpful in reviewing how I have listed vehicles in the past and my opportunities to improve in the future.
