That looks like the same color as Freiberger's 69 Disgustang, which was called Emberglo in 1966, something else by 1969 and then came back on Ford trucks around 2002(?). All the same mix though. It's a nice color.

I'm digging the Maverick.

I'm digging it as well. I still remember going with my dad to the Ford dealer in '72 (I was 4) to pick up his brand new Maverick.  A Grabber Blue  2-door, 170 straight-6 and 3-speed on the column. The only optional equipment was the AM radio.  About as basic as they came, but to 4 year-old me, it was the coolest thing ever.  I still love the looks of those cars.

A couple of years ago, I was hanging out at Sonoma Raceway watching a NASA points meet and there was a guy with a truly awesome Maverick that had been given the full-on Pro-Touring treatment.  Twin Turbo 2JZ (which I though was an awesome choice for that car), hand-laid carbon fiber hood with "Grabber" scoops, Coilovers and a watts-link rear suspension. A cool detail, the stock filler cap in the tail light panel had been converted into the battery cut-off switch. The owner was a cool dude, and spent a lot of time showing me around the car. He's had it done by a shop somewhere up in NORCAL, and I was too polite to ask him what his total investment was, but the results were amazing.  It sounded awesome screaming around the track, and looked even better.
