Mazda doesn't have build numbers? Heck, our sho club sent a polite letter to Ford and we ended up with the complete build record broken down to who ordered the cigarette lighter

I'd try to have someone that is the head of one of the forums try, or impersonate one of them.

That would imply that the forums get more than 3 posts a day and there's an actual leader.
Ben needs it.
Thread jack alert! 89 MX-6 GT Turbo Just came across this one. This one looks clean if anyone else is looking for one. This one is some where between Des Moines and Minneapolis. Almost a twin. Different wheels and a sunroof.

This car has been on Craigslist off and on for months. Price started at $3k, now down to $2.5k. The car is localish to me (4.5hr drive). I've been keeping my eye on it, level of want increases as price decreases.
At $2500, i'd suggest you offer the dude $2250 and go get it. That's a lot of car for the money, which also illustrates how much of an insane deal Scott's is.
Ben has said that I should sell the car if anyone else has the cash in hand ready to buy. As of this moment it's still available. Just wanted everyone to know that. If know one coughs up the cash it's going to Ben (in two-ish months).
You guys really need to get on this. I don't need the car or really have much use for it, but i'm willing to buy it in the end just to keep it from fading away.
Racer1ab, mg_bryan, beans, anyone. If you ever wanted one of these, this is the one to get. This will be the lightest GT ever.
Asshat buyer 2 never responded to me at all.
Last night a guy driving an e46 M3 came by to look at the car for a track car. really nice guy. He used to race LeChump and wants something cheap and fun for HPDE. He's waiting for some funds to clear and he says he wants it. Key word "says". I'm not counting on anyone at this point.
I threw my pile up on craigslist and various forums last night. Listed for $3K, but I'm not turning down a $2500 offer. That should cover the car+trip, easy. Is PA a notary state?

Awesome. PA is a notary state.
I still want to come check it out, but it looks like our schedules aren't gonna mesh this weekend. I think my weekend just got cancelled as well.
I have a few extras to include as well. Extra oil lite shifter bushings, a new drivers tie rod end (pass side replaced). I also have a ton of vintage brochures for all of the aftermarket extras with receipts and service history.
I was trying to think of any issues I could think of with the car. The right front strut bearing is a little worn. The boots on the ball joints are torn, but the ball joints themselves are tight. I tried my best to fix any other issues the car had when I bought it.
Oh, and. Someone buy this already.
If this car was red, Swank would have already bought it! (I keed).
Willing to let it go for $2200 now. No less.
Good lord that thing looks clean for 200,000+ miles. Hrmmm, I do have a brother-in-law that lives in Pittsburg...
