Below is the back story regarding this vehicle:
I'm reluctantly listing this gem for sale. I purchased it from a Volvo collector who had it stored in his climate controlled basement for 7-10 years! (Last two photos) It was regularly started, and occasionally moved over the years, but hasn't seen the road in those 7-10 years.
I had an 850 well over 10 years ago, and told myself I would one day purchase another. Always keeping my eyes opened for that perfect 850, I came across this lovely example and couldn't pass it up. Drove it away from the previous owners home, with the largest smile on my face. I did a roadside oil change, and drove it over two hours home. It performed flawlessly without any surprises. Once I got it home, I had the oil changed once again with a quality Wix filter, and Pennzoil platinum synthetic motor oil. Unfortunately selling it at this time makes the most sense for me, so now it's being offered here. With hopes it will find the perfect home, where it will finally be driven on the regular!
Condition of Vehicle:
This 850 Turbo has no check engine lights, no exhaust smoking of any kind. It's always been a non smokers vehicle. Obviously with it not being used in a very long time, changing all the fluids and tires are a given. The tires have excellent tread, and are in like new condition but are old. I cannot confirm if the A/C works, as it's freezing out currently but the heater does indeed work! The upper motor mount will need to be changed, as the rubber bushing has deteriorated a good amount. Also, the leather on the very upper passenger door where the lock is located is shrunk. This could be easily repaired, but I've left it as is in original condition. The original owners manual, and all booklets are included. Again, I drove this over two hours home without a single flaw but I feel the smart move would be to have it shipped somewhere if you live far, due to the older timing belt.
