My son is selling his 2008 Mercury Milan with 146k miles on it.

3.0l V6 with automatic transmission

Cruise, power windows, power seat, remote entry keyfob plus touchpad (2 factory keys), A/C and heat work well.

Very nice condition inside and out. Non smoking vehicle

Recent maintenance includes:

December 2020 spark plugs

January 2021 Air filter, water pump belt, main serpentine belt, winter wiper blades, anti-freeze flush and fill

February 2021 Transmission flush and fill

March 2021 Oil and filter change, full synthetic oil

Was an Indiana car until 1 month ago. I bought it for him 10 years ago with 81k miles on it and he recently moved to Grand Rapids for his residency. He is only 4 blocks from the hospital and his car is parked .5 miles away so they have decided one car will work for the next three years.

This morning on the way back to GR he took a stone to the windshield. It left a 6" crack in the lower left corner and thus he has dropped the price $200.

I told him I would post here with a GRM price of $3200. He has listed it on CL for $3600 (was $3800 before the windshield issue) which can be found here with more photos. 2008 Mercury Milan - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle automotive... (craigslist.org)

Please reach out to me if interested and I will put you in touch with him. I have done all of the maintenance the past 10 years and it has been a great car.

Your Grand Rapids based shoppers will like the fact that this is not a Michigan car and potentially less rust than typical for Grand Rapids. But, what part of Indiana? If South Bend then little to no difference than Grand Rapids.  If Bloomington, IN then big difference.

However, my point here is the CL fails to include this whole "recent to Michigan" message.

That's good price even in this weird used car economy. The other day I just stopped to look at a similar Ford fusion that was beat and ugly for 5400.

In reply to John Welsh :

John - good point and thanks for bringing that gap to my attention. It has been in Fort Wayne the past 10 years, so about 1/2 the annual snowfall of Grand Rapids and South Bend. Not Bloomington good, but not terrible. The rockers seem to be the first items to rust on the 2006-2009 Milan/Fusion and these show no signs of being compromised. My 2007 Fusion started to show bubbling of the paint on the rocker area last year but it was averaging 16K miles/ year for the last 10 years where this car has averaged under 7k miles/year for the last 10 years.

He has someone looking tomorrow morning and I will suggest he update the ad if the buyer doesn't take it or flakes on him (CL).

As rusty bug mentioned, he has it listed possibly as much as $2k under market asking price.  My guess is it will sell fast even without ad change.

I like these cars.
