EDIT: Asking $2,500
Selling my former daily since my job has become permanently remote. I'm the 2nd owner, basically inherited this 9000 from a family member who bought it new.
NA 2.3L 4-cyl.
5-speed manual
170k miles
Knoxville, TN
Asking $̶3̶,̶5̶0̶0̶ $2,500
The good:
- No engine or trans leaks, doesn't burn oil
- No rust
- Shifts easily, engine still pulls well
- Interior is in great shape
- Working (and non-leaking) moonroof
- Have all maintenance records going back to the '90s
- Visibility is amazing
- Massive liftback trunk area
- Extremely useful headlight wipers
The bad:
- Needs a new resistor for the electric engine fan. Fan won't come on so it can get warm in traffic on hot days, but has never overheated.
- Battery probably won't hold a charge for long because it's been sitting during covid
- Climate control system has some demons. AC does not blow cold. Heat works, but fan speed is determined by trolls.
- Radio doesn't work
- Alarm may go off if you lock it and it gets lonely
Comes with 2 spare wheels with studded snow tires if you want them. Any questions, ask away.

Excellent! I had one the same year and optioned nearly identically. I wish I had a use for this one, as they're really excellent cars.
did you try bring a trailer? they sell saabs pretty regularly
In reply to billstewartx :
Not sure it's nice enough for BaT. Maybe if I fixed/replaced the engine fan, but even then the mileage is a little high for what I've seen there.
Bumping this since the Saab is now up on craigslist here.
Would take $2,500 from somebody on GRM.
This is very tempting...if it were closer to FL I would be very interested.
FYI, if you're looking to sell a vintage Saab you should post it here:

Both reasonably priced & nice expensive Saabs tend to sell pretty quickly.
I saw the CL post has gone away. I'm curious, is this still for sale?
Hey all, sorry I missed the comments here. I do still have the Saab but reconsidered selling and took down the CL ad.
I'm talking to someone about it via email now, but might still be open to an offer. BTW I "fixed" the fan issue with a patch cable in the fuse box: plug it in, fan comes on. Unplug it, fan turns off. Seems to run fine and stay cool like that.
