Fire Sale! Well... not literally but almost!
I am just quickly writing this off the top of my head so I am sure there will be minor errors and omissions, if there is interest I will take pics and update info. It is time for my trusty subie family hauler to move on and I wanted to offer it up here before I send it off to charity or something since it still has great potential as a fun car.
Recently it has developed a fuel leak from the tank and a quick examination shows rust at the seam that appeared to be the culprit. Having not time nor the health to deal with a tank replacement I tried a drity hack of some putty sealant that I knew wouldnt work and it didn't... I really dont wont to deal with having paying to have it replaced since we barely use the old girl and would probably just donate to charity before tax day anyway... So the bad is that it dribbles an ounce a day in front of the passenger rear tire when full like it is now, nothing noticeable below half a tank beyond the occasional whiff of scent in the air when below half a tank.
over the past 5ish years of ownership it has received good care from me and I literally bought it off of a little old lady. That said, it has been driven hard and lived in big cities, sandy beaches, snowy mountains, lent out to many people, autocrossed and tracked, etc. the body is mostly passable but the bumpers show plenty of dings from parking lots impacts, bollards, downtown living and such, the rally mud flaps have caught on just about everything and the side skirts are no long pristine or anything like that. Moderate tint all around and correct dealer option roof racks over the panorama sunroof with Ventshades to round out the mild custom look. Interior shows no rips or burns on the leather but has been used hard; think typical subaru vaping, child vomiting, and well worn weathertechs.
All Power accesories work. Heated seats will roast you! Even the well known crappy hatch handle has been replaced. From the cargo cover / weathertech liner and newer lift supports in the rear to the Two keys and the shifter buttons on the Momo steering wheel up front she feels pretty loaded. Aftermarket rear camera with monitor on the dash and a JDM center column with double din bluetooth touchscreen stereo and cobb accessport all mounted for easy reach, too! Even the door speakers are new (rockford fosgate?) and it has a smallish (sound ordinance?) sub box in the back that delivers enough extra punch for an old guy like me.
mods and maintenance are the keys here since it was all done with an eye on drivability and keeping the car more like a grown person's sleeper versus a boy racer's trashed ricer. All work not done by me was done by an excellent specialist that I really appreciated and trusted to care for it well.
approx 150k on the clock? gotta check..
timing belt was done two years ago with all the associated seals and belts, plugs etc.
BNR 16G turbo - esentially mitsubishi internals in a ported subaru housing. Good Midrange
Dyno tuned by Cryontune in Arvada, CO - current tune for 91 octane and safe midrange drivability 18-20 psi
K&N Panel filter
AVO silicone intake tube
Perrin Intercooler
Upgraded fuel pump (Walboro 255?)
WRX catless up pipe
Cobb Downpipe w/ new O2 sensor - OE downpipe included for smog or scrap
Invidia Cat back exhaust - mild boxer sound but noticable when you step on it
Various suspension bushings and control arms, ball joints, etc. have been replaced here and there.
Addco rear sway bar
Front and rear strut tower bars.
Tein coilovers
Front skid Plate - Forget the brand but made for the car and fits nicely
Reese tow receiver - lightly used but a nice kit. IDK about tow rating but I only used it for 100lbs of cargo
Derale transmission cooler with thermostat - my first mod, just in case!
Centric rotors are recent and recent motul fluid flush
Front pads are currently Hawk HPS - mountain pads were too much for the flat burbs
Rear Pads might be more aggresive still like a Hawk track pad - might have some extras in a box somewhere
Goodridge Stainless Steel Brake lines front and rear
Master Cylinder to firewall brace - very positive pedal feel
Phillips headlight bulbs - last week, if you gotta do one, better do both...
Currently on the stocker rolling on 215/45 r17 Falken Azeni RT615k
Comes with a set of 205/50 r17 Firestone Winterforce 2 on Konig Lace wheels in decent nick with lots of life left
I do have paperwork for a lot of this work, but since I just moved into a new house it would take me a minute to put my hands on it...
Again, runs and drives well, buts leaks fuel. You can drive it home, I advise you do so with a fire extinguisher.
