Fellow addicts,
My neighbor has put his house up for sale and it is a decent car-guy oriented property.
Highlights: It is in the county, not inside city limits. On 2.5 acres. Has 3 car attached garage plus detached shop. Shop has power run to it (don't know if it has it's own separate panel or just some circuits run from the house. Has a liner pool (love or not...keep or fill it in!). Is a 2 story house.

I will tell you that we are in an HOA but it is not the type "A" HOAs that make the news. We have quite a few car friendly folks in the neighborhood.
As a plus, I will give you a great big giant car-guy oriented welcome basket if you move in. Will also give you the pleasure of helping me get rid of beer/adult beverages while we either wrench or admire our projects!
No affiliation other than I'm the neighbor looking for a like minded petrolhead.
Haha! If there were good shots of aforementioned shop and garage space, I'd'a included them. Sadly, pics in the linky show the roof and the side.....not front or interior. You know how it is...............if there were there, I'd a showcased 'em
Dang, that house would cost you more than that in my area.
tempting, just not sure I want a house that's almost 3x the size of my current one.
Geez, could almost just buy that furnished as is.... I mean if could afford it. Just happen to be in Ft. Worth and not Houston....

That house on an 1/8 acre lot without the shop or the pool is $1M+ where I live.
I like it. Not sure about the whole Texas thing. And affording something like that is a little ways out yet.
Price drop! Be my neighbor.....pleeeeze? :)
Stop showing people how cheap it is to live in Texas!
Sheesh not to bad. About 1200 sqft more than needed in living quarters and one to many floors for me. Taxes and insurance if those are monthly are crazy. Plus adding HOA's on top nope. Now if I could just get the shop and build a house on a 3/4 acre then that would be about right. Then I'd need to see what the work picture is for electricians down there?
I've got a friend relocating to Ft. Worth. I'll pass this over to him.
Does your HOA prohibit long, smoky burnouts? asking for a friend
That would be about $1.4M around here.
In the Fort Worth area the market is stuffed with houses over $300k so you can get a great house for your money. Deals are hard to come by under $250k though and you will be looking at older houses in less nice parts of town or cheaply made tract homes in run-down subdivisions. $500k range is crazy competitive and buys you a really nice house in a really nice neighborhood with all the amenities and land you could want.
