NMNA, if it weren't for the milage, I'd have a loan secured within an hour and on my way to pick it up.
6sp manual, 6.4L power stroke, 4wd.

except the 6.4L is the biggest hunk of E36 M3 Ford has put in a truck in several decades. If it was a 7.3L, then we would be on to something...

Uh, I think you have the 6.0L and the 6.4L mixed up......the 6.4L is leaps and bounds better than the 6L
My dad picked up a 00 7.3 with a 6-speed. New clutch, oil pan, Shocks, w2w Moog suspension, hub hearings, and tires. All service work done at dealer.
Granted, it needed an H20 pump and the front lockouts needed re-greased. At 129k miles it is barely getting broken in.
Paid 10k. It's an absolute BEAST.
I don't know about the 6.4, I recall underhood being pretty cramped. Luckily, the 7.3 is a sweetheart to work on.

You are unequivocally high if you believe that. My best friend was exclusively a Ford diesel mechanic for a decade, and he refuses to work on the 6.4.

Big difference there between having to work on a 6.4L and knowing you're on borrowed time if you haven't replaced the EGR and had ARP fasteners put in to keep your 6L functional(if he is complaining about the 6.4L, he has obviously never had to replace head gaskets/stud a 6.0).......
I bet your friend really really hates the new 6.7L.......there's no room in there. I love the power the newer trucks possess, but I too love the old 444ci monster.
