I don't hate it.
I'd like to think that the front of the trailer is at least somewhat aerodynamic, but am I the only one who feels like it needs more wheels? Or the wheels should be in a different location?
Don't hate it either, although I'd want to renovate the interior... the deck is just under 13', so long enough for any of my Triumphs...
This is what happens when you cut the back off a large camper trailer.
Yes I would think the wheels need to be moved back if you want to carry more than lawn chairs on the deck. And the whole frame may not be rated for that much.
I can't say the idea is bad though!
This is more or less what I've been brainstorming for my trailer. Just enough to sleep in. I kind figured I'd have the nose of the car go under the camper part to leave more room, but the deck on my trailer is bigger as well at 22' without the tongue.

Exactly, it's got the concept I want to try and create, but .... smaller and nicer. I'd like pretty much a capsule hotel w/ super-duper insulation/sound-deadening and a/c-heat.
We used a truck tent for my GLTC @ CMP event and it worked well enough, but would love something that doesn't tether the truck down and can stop some sound! Easier setup would be nice as well...
We are building something similar for the roundy round car I work on. We started with a very beat enclosed trailer which are way harder to find than very beat campers. The front area is 8' and we are using it for shop area but you could easily make it a sleeping area if you wanted.
I get the irony of taking an enclosed car trailer and cutting it up so it is now open but it was a mess and this allows people to see the race car when we tow it, which is pretty fun.
They are pretty common for the off-road crowd. Many times their machines won't fit in a toy hauler or enclosed trailer.

We have the same issue but width not height. We have to put a little skinny tractor like tire on the RF to get it past the wheel wells and the back tires wouldn't fit through the door so this is a good solution. Otherwise we would have to take all 4 tires off to trailer the car.
