Looks like they added power, then blew-up the transmission. Also it's the first time I've seen A/C not working for being over-charged. Usually the excuse is that it just needs a charge... Part-out the interior and manual swap it for the Challenge?
Looks like someone needs to get on IAA or something, and find a wrecked S4, for the trans, interior..... FWIW, the manual swap isn't that hard but $$$$. Very strong and very popular tranny. Easy 1500
They went from two smaller intercoolers to one humongus one?
Transmichigans are not cheap for this, no matter which way you go, but it will need more than a torque converter. When the seal in the TC fails it screws up the rest of the gearbox. This was an issue on the Tiptronics until mid 2004.
However, these are great cars to drive and the V-6 twin turbo motor is a sweetheart.......smooth and torquey
