I was looking into importing a 2024 Yaris under the radar and came across this....

https://www.hemmings.com/stories/ten-vehicles-eligible-for-import-in-2024/

Need less to say unless you are a bottomless pit of money you will have to wait

Couple more years for the Sagaris.  Not that I'm waiting or had a purchase contract at one point or anything.

I was looking for other cars and came across this one.

Info read that they came in 3 door version but they do not look the same :0(  found one for sale for import for $2770 but that is without import and such.

Weird choice on the Audi A2. I'd rather have a first gen Audi S3 (1999-2003)

For legal reasons I'm not a lawyer nor should anything I say be taken as sound legal advice but if a GR Yaris sold in Mexico was to become accidentally in your garage, your local DMV may allow you to file the paperwork necessary to apply for citizenship

As one who suffers pretty badly from the grass-is-greener/forbidden-fruit syndrome, it is fun to see what is theoretically becoming legal to import.

I'm curious what is the supposed difference noted in the article between the "kit car version" Ultima GTR already sold in the States and the "real deal" now available to import from the UK. ??? I'm guessing the author has little understanding of the UK cottage industry for lightweight performance cars.

As an IS300 owner, I am tempted to also get an Altezza now that they are able to be imported as well.

From what I've seen no one wants an A2 anywhere.

I'm waiting for a T350T, one that's had the motor redone by Straight6 or TVR Power though. Ex Chimera owner here.

Heyyy! I had an A2. 1.4 TDI. It was fun to drive, but little underpowered at 75 hp. Regularly getting 56 mpg in mixed driving. And no rust!

Get a 1.2 TDI and 80 mpg smiley

Been watching the TVR's pretty hard.  Would also love the Clio RS with the mid engine 6 and birthing hips.

Anybody considering purchasing a car overseas and storing it there until it's legal to import? I know people have done that with Nissan R34 GTRs as the prices rose closer to when they became legal. I'm kinda considering it for a European car purchase. Fly to Europe, buy car, drive it around some, then drive it to a storage location. One it would be nice to visit Europe, only been to Germany once for a few days, no Nurbergring...

Just make sure whoever is storing your car is trustworthy. I've seen first hand people joyriding stored cars and unfortunately at times wrecking them
