I actually like that better in kart form, than with the bastardized bodywork. I bet it would be even more of a blast now that it's mid-engine RWD though!

+1 on that thought! That looks like good parking lot fun. A different sort of sand rail.
How much of that is Sonnet? Are the front and rear frame sections original? How about the front suspension. I have never spent any time around a Sonnet so I am trying to understand how much of this car is just a stock car minus the body and how much is actually custom.
I kinda get what the builder was thinking, I also see the light come on where he decides to bail out.

that is NOT mid-engine... the engine clearly hangs behind the rear wheels
