My wife said I can never ever play with you.
One ove the only new cars I ever bought was a 84 2.2 silver/charcoal with 'bout the same options as the prospector. Also first FWD I owned myself. I had it about a year. Much fun to play in.
That looks more white/black than silver/charcoal, but only one I found with the AL rims mine had. Friends dad had the prospector package, and my options seemed more "sporty" than his.
I miss mine whenever I see one.
They are just fun to bash around town in, toss junk in the back (1000lb bed capacity) but not so much that you have to worry about unloading it by yourself.
I'm kind of wondering if you could drop a FWD engine/trans in the bed and still have a usable bed at all
First car I ever perfected a bootleggers turn in. Still the only one I could do it 100% right in every single time! Still prefer RWD, but I sure could do some crazy stuff with that thing. Might be cause I had better reflexes back then...

There was a guy that did that with 2 2.2L turbo drivetrains.
He added box flares.
It looked awesome.

You should drop in a nissan leaf powertrain instead. Then you'd have AWD hybrid, or the ability to drive around town fully electric, or drive across the country on gas.
I can't tell you how temped I was to do this with the Saab ute.

I'm trying to find the original pictures, but this is really digging around in the wayback machine.
Arghhh, and I just sold my GLHS clone to the Orlando Challenge Team! I thought doing a swap of the 2.5 T2 into a clean Rampage would be the pointy bits. But, alas, twas not to be.
