BTW, just cause I'm a glutton for punishment, how much has the PA tin worm attacked the branger? Do you have a link for a sale ad, or still in the thinking about it stage?
Next to zero rust. It was a snowbird truck; PO towed to FL for the winters every winter. He bought it when he retired along with a motorhome. Believe it or not, factory shocks, factory exhaust. One tiny spot of body rust on the left wheel well. I kept Krown treatments on it since I've owned it. I've owned it for three years so it's only seen one real winter. Last winter they never had to salt the roads. In fact, I would wager that it's less rusty than anything in AL from 1994.
Still getting the van ready - wiring for a trailer, making a roof rack, etc. As soon as the van is ready to take over all the duties of the Branger like hauling 16' lumber and towing a trailer, I'll made an ad.
Got your PM, by the way. Our schedules are crossed but I'll reply later.

I've got a 24' 10,000 GVW I'll sell for $4500.
You have my interest. Details?
It's an older Pace. I can't find the manufacture date on it (I'm sure I have it somewhere). It's well built- and a bit heavier than I want. No rust, but it does have a few dings in it. 10,160 GVR. It has an AC unit on the roof which was tripping breakers when I bought it- I never fixed it. I installed FRP panels on the walls a few years ago- look great. E-track on 1 wall. Recent tires. I had 1 axle replaced a few years ago, and the other rebuilt. No leaks. The rear ramp door was rotten when I bought it. I had a new door built with heavier steel than original, but the guy didn't get it built perfectly flat. It's got a small twist in it- i just have to push on it a little to get it to close.
I want a 20' V-nose that's a little newer and a little lighter.
It's not as pretty as the newer ones, and a little heavy, but completely functional. No issues other than some mild cosmetic ones.
Here's how it sits today. I didn't even try to wash it:
Why is it all the cool stuff in the Carolinas?
Trying to think when I can make it down there, but I'm definitely interested. Any rush? Like... are you actively trying to sell it?
In reply to Curtis73 (Forum Supporter) :
Nope. Not actively trying to sell.
But don't just head south. It's got some stuff in it, and I need a little time to empty. Let me know first.
How soon do you need it?
I'm gonna be in NJ the beginning of June. If we could work out some finances, etc. in advance, I MIGHT be willing to tow it there and meet you.
The pace trailer is prolly a bit better quality new than a generic build like mine; condition looks fine to me! The neighborhoods where nicer looking than that mattered, prolly wouldn't like either one, anyway.

Well... I need it a month ago, but the lack of availability during the pandemic/supply shortage has put a kink in that. My plan was to do what I always do: Schmooze local dealers for a donation/borrow in return for ad space in the show program. But since trailers are high demand and low supply (and I'm a theater with no current product) no one is biting.
One of the first things I did as TD for this theater was get rid of our old wasted trailer. It was a donation in 1985-ish from a dealer who was happy to sign it over for free. That dealer is gone and times have changed.
So I have resigned to just making a pile of what I need to move and waiting for the right trailer. Let's keep the lines open via email and maybe we can make magic happen. Thank you, Paul. I appreciate it.

Sounds good
That's a nice looking trailer... if that's considered ugly, we get stuff from VERY different pools! The aluminum frames have not made it south too much, and when they do they are way high, so I don't have any experience with long term durability. The 5 lug axles would be a bit light for my tastes, but the light overall weight would sure be nice. Has the nice option of the ramp door in the nose as well. Very god deal, if the AL frame adds as much used value as I see folks asking prices!
Reviving your dead thread... I have not seen where you bought a trailer yet; I think you said you were holding off for a bit.
Just food for thought, I no longer have the T56 attached to the 97 formula, so... Make me an offer on our trailer with your trans. as a partial trade. As long as my wife gets enough cash out of the deal to satisfy her, she will let me take that in trade, even though I don't have a engine / car plan to put with it, yet.
She is also happy some of my junk ... er ... projects .... are finally going away, so we might catch her in a good place!

A racer friend is selling his 28' tag for $4250 firm. Not gorgeous but solid.
If interested I can connect you. DC area.

Right now I can't make much of an offer. Washing machine died, needed some masonry work done, and well... money slips away. Let's keep in touch, though.
I've been following, hoping for a happy ending to this saga.
I will need a smaller Miata sized enclosed at some point. Not having any cash saves the hassle of shopping.
In reply to Curtis73 (Forum Supporter) :
I'm still willing to bring my 24' to you in a a month, if you are still interested.
In reply to SVreX (Forum Supporter) :
When I resurected the thread, one of my thoughts was if he had bought yours. That's a good deal on a 24.
A little larger than you were looking for, and I do not like triple axles, but...
Really long trailer
Just thinking 'bout ya!
Curtis, did you ever work something out with Paul's trailer? Or are you still looking?
Long story, but suffice it to say that my immediate needs have been handled. I was pushing for a trailer last month because E36 M3 was hitting the fan and I couldn't wait for the board to put it through 8 committees and then forget about it. I was going to buy one and rent it to the theater until they decided to finally pony up the dough and buy it from me.
I did pitch them an idea and I actually have them convinced that I can do it. I just haven't told them how long it will take or how much it will cost.
My idea for building a deck-over box trailer with hydraulics that lift it to dock height is gaining traction. You may have seen my post in the rollback thread. I want to take something like this:
Put a used box from a 26' truck on top of it:
Then hinge it at the front with a hydraulic ram to lift the back up to dock height.
Yep, I seen ya talkin' bout that. Like the plan a lot. A.F. has moved on from the worn out bed, and got a newer truck. Has the 95 Superduty up for sale, If ya haven seen it. I imagine it has all the hyd. you need to make that happen. For local work, the 1.5 Ton rated truck with the 7.3 should be all you need. I sold the MD truck that would have been even better, but would still had to have to get his Hyd. stuff.
I have a ZF 5 speed for that if his is AT, but i think I remember it being a stick as well.
I do need to move the trailer and the coach on to new owners, and would sell you the trailer for 5K and your T56... if ya had to bargin that lower, my wife wouldn't let me take the trans in trade! 'Course mine is a V nose, so might make the lift part harder, but...
IIRC Paul's is a 24' square nose, and a slightly better deal?
