Hi all, New member here. Found an original TR250 with rebuilt engine, new spoke wheels and new exhaust. Been sitting since 1995 when owner decided to fix up last year. Lost job and looking to sell. Paint and interior are original. Top replaced in 1995 when stored. No rust. Body strait. runs good. I would call it a nice "driver". What is a good price range to offer?

Randy, I don't have a good answer for you--don't know what TR250s are going for these days--but wanted to say welcome aboard!
You can check over at BritishCarForum.com. Someone there can give you an idea.
Obviously the answer is as little as he will take. But you can piss off people so bad they won't even talk to you with a lowball offer. I have a couple of times.
I used to hate the TR250. But now love them with the wires. They were once the least appreciated TRs, but are now probably the most expensive, due to rarity (other than over-restored TR2-3s).
I would say several thousand dollars, but condition is important. OD trans is a real bonus. Why was car off road for 13 years? That does not help a car.

Pictures would really help. If this car is a "survivor" meaning it has never been torn down and restored, then it will have an appeal to a person who wants to do a restoration.
My question to you is how much do you want to spend? A full paint job with no bodywork is going to run around 5k if you do a good job.
You would have to show me the receipts for the engine work before I gave you any points for that. Rmember that you do not get a warranty with that new engine. What is a "rebuild" 1000 dollar clean-up or a full 4-5000 complete overhaul?
My guess is that this guy is going to want near 10,000 for this car. He may get it if it is an unmolested survivor. Do you want to put another 10-20,000 in to finish it?
