I found this car for sale on our local CL. No affiliation and I know it is over the usual limit, but I'm posting it solely for the curiosity factor. What a cool little car!
1960 Fiat 600 Multipla. This is a "RUST FREE" Fiat with a perfect body. It has only 1 small dent in the left rear corner. I have most of the parts to finish it like all the rubber and trim pieces. It needs only a paint job and mech. refreshing to be a cool classic. Call for details

That is cool. There is no way I could fit in it, but it is cool.
Don't be so sure. They are pretty roomy. Not geared for highway driving though. Upholstery is not original. An unrusted one is the only one to restore. Finished it's worth $10-$15k or more.
Hmm maybe offer $1500 in these hard times nice find
I could have a LOT of fun in that...
One of those thing WILL do the speed limit if you put a Harley engine in it !

Someone besides me has to be thinking "How do you get an LS1 in there. Not like you would need a gearbox or anything with the torque and lack of weight.
I was more thinking fiat sohc 1500 from an X would do wonders

Wow, funky car. That's a new one for me...looks kind of like a mini VW bus. Looks like fun!

It's not the engine that keeps it slow, more the gearing/final drive ratio. They are much lower geared than the sedan. That aside, it's not something you'd want to drive at 70 mph with the skinny tires, marginal brakes, and only crash protection in the front being the spare tire stored at your knees.
Is that diamond stitching factory or ambitious locals?

from my experience in my 600D sedan, I can tell you high winds need to be avoided!
I always wanted a Multipla though, even if you could pick one up for about 1k just a few short years ago. I wish I could sell my 600 all over again they've gone up so much in price.
A side note, I owned my 600 longer than any car I've had, over 10 years. yeah it was that fun!

Wayne Carini had one on Chasing Classic Cars. Dont remember how much he sold it for, or what he was into it for...
In reply to dyintorace: I need Multipla front brake drums! I have a 1960 H Modified racecar that uses Multipla front drum brakes. They are vented aluminum drums, steel lined, 4x98 bolt pattern. Anyone know of any around?
