Hey all,
I went to look at and test drive an '03 MSP with 140k . The car had what looks like the beginning of rust on the rear driver side fender well but other than that the car looked great. It drove fine but I did notice a clunk from the rear. I assume the clunk is from the rear sway bar.
The owner stated the timing belt and water pump hasn't been done and neither has the clutch. He also stated the the brakes are probably going to need to be done soon.
If he's asking $5500 what is this car really worth with the needed repairs?
I'd say $3k max.
5500 seems to be the ultimate car tard selling price for a car worth $3k or less.
That sounds a little steep from the condition you describe. The clunk in the rear you heard is a well known issue. Those cars handle great and have super steering feel.
Sounds like a car that should be Challenge priced

Yeah, no way he gets 5500 for that. a CREAMPUFF is maybe worth that right now.
