I'll be there with my filthy Scirocco if I can complete the entry form. I'm stuck trying to come up with a team name.

Well a former challenger will be making a return appearance, hopefully we can finish a bit better than the PO did with it. shooting for top 10 autoX, top 20 concourse, and unless I can figure out a way to squeeze more power out of her, we will prob be lucky to hit 13's in the quarter. But hey, we should still beat SVREX's time on the Schwinn.

Do the rest and come back to it.

I love that you plan on modifying and running this car for several years yet to come. It will be interesting to see if the project winds up anywhere close to what you imagine now.
Personally, I plan on selling my Saab quickly after the challenge... cheaply if I break it...
Ok, I have watched the video from last years autocross about a dozen times now and am curious about the track layout...
Would any of you with experience in the challenge describe that course as typical and fairly representative of what you expect to see this year?

That's what I did with last year's car. It didn't even make the trip back from FL. Sold it out of the parking lot.
Bringing the car back multiple years is still up in the air a little. An EF/EG Civic would be easier to find parts for than the 1g CRX. We'll see.

Dave (WilberM3) and I will hopefully be heading down this year with our super secret Challenger. It didn't quite make it last year...not even close actually. But we are working hard on it now! It should turn some heads even if they look away in disgust soon after :)
We would love a caravan, we can meet you somewhere on the Pike I'd think. It can get complicate though as Tony mentioned. We had plans of driving down with them but we were already on the road when we found out how bad the F150's brake problems were so we did it separately. The drive home worked out great though.

Good luck with the super secret project; we don't even get a hint?
I am still undecided if I want to stop for the night at either philly, south jersey, somewhere else or not at all. My car only has two seats and the copilot is taking her time learning to drive a stick...
There is a very good chance that I will not be leaving florida directly after the challenge. After this is all over I think that a few days in a luxurious resort are in order.

Gotta remember to bring some extra cash saturday, I've been wanting a saab for awhile now.
I would like to come, but in the future i recommend making the challenge not on my fiancee's birthday.

I DARE you.
I'll bring it again, go ahead and climb on and SEE if you can beat my time on the Schwinn!
Oh, you meant in a car??? Pansy.

October 4th is my wedding anniversary. I've been married 4 years, and I've been to the last three challenges! It's worth it! I just have to make sure she get's taken care of another weekend.
My anniversary with the fiance is Oct. 8th. I'm supposed to get married on that date next year. I went on my anniversary last year, it was cool with her! I kinda have to be there for the wedding though.
I'm using the Challenge as an excuse to try to get my 72 Beetle drivable again. It's been sitting for 16 years. My goal is to drive it to the Challenge, compete, probably come in dead last, but have the Beetle finally drivable again.
What do you guys think Fair Market Value is for a 1972 VW Super Beetle, with a rusty frame and collapsed front suspension, that was given to me in 1984?
We'll be there with the Wartburg if all goes well.
Still banging away at it and hoping to depart for the BABE rally on Sunday.

My wife & I are planning on it. I'm even blowing off my 20th HS reunion to go. Just need to start making some progress on the vehicle...
