I don't know if that is to much to undertake in a parking lot build. Nitrous maybe?
I am in Jacksonville also and intersted in the idea of the parking lot build. Not sure if I will get my car out this year but this sounds fun.
Perhaps we need a Jacksonville brainstorming session over beers on this.
I will be there this year and have been planning on digging in to whatever PLB was going on. I live in Orlando and if there are any logistic issues let me know, Ill be glad to help. I can bring/store/find parts, tools, sawzall blades and first aid kits.
...so I sold the pt cruiser Saturday. It was to nice to cut up and someone offered me $1600.00 for it. It was a terrible idea to begin with.
But I have new better parking lot build to replace it so all is good... Stay tuned
Monday last week I won this 1995 2wd Chevrolet Silverado 1500 for $550.00. $228.00 in fees gets me to $778.00 total.
It is a sport side, short bed with a 350. Kind of rare I suppose with the big motor.
I have acquired a bed for $250 and a door for $100. Which brings my total to $1128. It starts right up and runs well. Shifts good, A/C is cold, radio and Windows work.
I can sell the door panel, window switch and glass from my door, as well as the extra tail lights. Hoping to get it down to $1000 before I start to mod it.

You know my dad told me two weeks ago to keep an eye out for one of those. What's the plan? Is it going to stay nice inside?

You read my mind I actually have a set of 17x9.5 1991 wheels for the s10 with rs3's. I am going to run the c5 wheels with the nitto race tires from my 2003 track corvette on this truck.
I need to decide on the suspension setup. Thinking a 4 / 6 drop at this point.
My plan at this point is to install the suspension in the parking lot along with the vette wheels. Maybe install a set of new pads and bleed the brakes.
I figure a parking lot build is not the same without some painting so maybe try a little high end paint work.
If we have time a set of long tubes and some new plugs may help the TBI a little...
Any experience with this kit Djm 4 6 kit

My thoughts exactly.
I have a 1999 Saab 9-3 that could be thrown into the 'cut the top into a truck in the parking lot' ring, if anyone really misses the PT.
If everything goes well it will run e85 and 20psi boost by then as well.

No direct experience with it, but it looks simple enough to install with the right tools.
I think the parking lot build is going to beat whatever I bring this year.
Bear in mind with the flip kit you're welding in the parking lot again. I'm sitting this one out, Carli got super huge mega pissed at me for "ditching her with the kids to play in the parking lot" to work on the firebird. She gives a lot of wiggle room with car stuff(we have 15 cars right now and I'm still alive) so i can give her family time by the pool thursday.
i'll also add that 3/4 is plenty of drop, but grinding the rivets out of the spring hangers sounds just as bad as doing a c notch in the parking lot. Also i have c notches if the other bits can be sourced cheaper alone than in kit form. I'd be temped to just cut the springs 1 coil too for challenge budget considerations and throwing $150 drop spindles at it. We should talk later. Like the s10, i've been there done that with gmt400's.
