It's good but I can't help but wish it was more of a sleeper. Maybe some plain-looking wheels would help with that.
I don't want to like it - drifting just irritates me and rat rods have become a cartoon, but this would be a hoot as a driver. Needs steelies for wheels though.
I'll give this to drifting: The lack of a clock makes room for choices that would otherwise be clearly detrimental when faced with a clock.
When I think of building something Locosty, I frequently think about cool bodies to put tube chassis under, but always have to face the question of "why haul that body around?" for an autocrosser...
I know a guy who autocrosses a late-40's Chevy truck in XP. Widened at least 6 inches to fit the fat meats, channeled, stubby bed, big honkin' crate motor. Its cool to see something that far from the "norm" at an autocross. Its street legal and driven to events to boot. I'll see if I can dig any pictures up.
