.....SRT4 Neon?
I was behind one in traffic for a while today, and every time he got on the gas, I swore it sounded like an SRT-4, with that kind of truck/tractor-ish rumble that makes it sound like it has a really large engine hidden in there somewhere.
Car looked to be a stock Abarth....so is this what these things sound like? If so....color me impressed.

Yeah, they're like a hive of angry bees.
Yep, Chryco consulted on it.
Yeah, my first encounter with one was in a tunnel stuck in Boston rush hour traffic. He came up along side me & down the windows went, as well as the volume on the stereo.
This was, I might mention, just a few minutes after being next to an Elise in earlier traffic. The elise sounded good on acceleration, but on decel it had a nasty rattle from the back of the car (not sure if it's exhaust or something else).

IMO, the Abarth is one of the best sounding stock cars available today, outside of ridiculous expensive exotics.
Good for them to pretty much straight pipe the car from the factory. Surprised anything like that is even done anymore.
I have been thinking of actually getting a new car in a year or two.. I was partial towards the C30.. but that is going away.. so I guess the Abarth might be it

Are those Abarth center caps in your avatar?

You aren't that far away from me, swing by come take a drive in mine, you'll start saving for yours right away. Best fun I've had with a car in a long time.
I talked a salesman into letting me give one a once-over. He only had one and kept it hidden in the back, and wouldn't let anyone test drive it without a deposit. My pants got tighter when it rumbled when I cranked it up, and I started running scenarios through my head about how I could get my hands on $24k without my wife noticing...
Luckily I talked myself down, but it would still be a cool little car to own...
