38 hours in a crap-can racer sounds masochistic. Where do I sign up?
i think they did a 36 hour one last year to get the record for longest endurance race on a closed course, then someone else did a 37 hour one.... now they are doing a 38 hour one..
That's about five 55-gallon drums worth of fuel.
I'm hoping to have a liver by then and to obtain medical clearance to travel down to spectate. It's a long shot that I'm able to, but a 38 hour grind in extreme budget entries will be a spectacular struggle and triumph to witness.

They are a long ways short of a time record, as 76 hours was done at the Nurburgring several times. Look up "Marathon de la Route".
