So a nice looking (in pictures at least) '88 325is 5 spd. popped up near me for $1100. 220K miles but w/ supposedly recently rebuilt engine. Claims to have no underbody rust and only a couple of surface spots. Only problems are heater fan and radio. I know i'm asking the wrong people, but TALK ME OUT OF IT!!!!
RWD, light weight, nimble, 5spd and sport suspension...
You don't want this -it's too easy!

Do not resist. Drive it with all of your anger and your journey toward the Dork side will be complete.

You're going to have to give us a reason to talk you out of it first.
If you have other cars, I'd go for it. If you do not, I'd be hestitant to go with something that old for a daily.
Going from a 99 ZX2 to an 89 240SX as a daily driver was hard on me...even if the 240SX is a ton of fun.
reasons to talk me out of it.
Racing $$
Race car maintenance
I already have a daily driver car
Truck maintenance
i haven't learned my lesson from the last two beater audi 4kqs that i bought.

I've been driving and loving my '87 e30 for nearly 3 years. Its a lot of fun!! $1100 is a great deal if its in good working order.

My advice is to do it!
I'm in love with that picture
do it! Do you need a picture of mine that is on jackstands with no front subframe or suspension as motivation?
E30 = God's Chariot.
What kind of truck maintenance are you talking about?
What are you other vehicles?

Sell that girly racer and turn it into a Spec E30. Experience the joy of racing with an actual power band.
I'm going to regret this. I've talked myself out of it.
Here's the link guys. Have at it!
