HAHAHA!! GRM didn't like the length of the URL's. I had to Tiny them up so they wouldn't get munged by the forum software...
You bought, literally, one of the best diesels ever. And they are so rare, definitely a toss up between one of these and a Cherokee diesel (the Extinction wins in the go big or go home category, plus that glorious 7.3L!)
That was our tow vehicle to the Challenge. We had our entire shop in the car (sans hoist), 5 guys, and pulling a car on a trailer. We averaged 17mpg there and back.
obligatory ZAV reference..
i just like that it has a proper solid axle in the front that has the proper manual lockout hubs, with the body sitting on proper leaf springs..

Why did I just read that in Jeremy Clarksons voice?

I am jealous. I know someone that says with the 7.3 programed for fuel economy he gets into the low 30s mpg. 8 minutes of reprograming and he's back to the power side. So if you have the Banks programmer it might be worth checking settings.
Just curious: can you lay down flat a 4'x8' sheet of whatever with the seats out/folded flat? (I was having a discussion comparing my dad's new to him '90 'Burb to this exact vehicle...)

From what i hear, thats pretty much the best tow vehicle there is.
Does it really weigh 9000 lbs? Wow.
Awesome. I'd love me a diesel Excursion.
what does a guy have to give for a rig like that?

That's pretty nuts. That's like twice what the gasoline version will do.

I am seriously jealous. I covet the diesel Excursion something fierce.

Supercool - I love Diesel 4x4 Excursions. However, I'm pretty sure that this is a 6.0 not a 7.3.
