So I've built myself a pit cart (mainly to bring my tools from the garage to the trailer and back...that and i thought it was cool :) ). I've got a nitrogen bottle setup for it to power an impact wrench for changing tires, etc. However, when I hooked everything up and tried to use the impact (1/2" HF special), there was so little torque on any of the gun settings I could stop it with my hand. Its supposed to be a 250 lbft gun. I've got a 150 psi regulator so I don't think pressure is an issue, but i'm wondering if the hose I got was too small (3/8" w/ 1/4" fittings). What would is the proper diameter hose and fittings necessary for to run air tools at the track? Thanks!

I would use 3/8" all the way around. Much more flow. But even then, you should be getting more torque than that, even with 1/4" fittings. I would check your regulator.
