How are the day-to-day feelings with these? Any four-season (dry/wet/snow) experience?

Are they livable for the long haul?

Would be 2003+ but any multi-season experience would be appreciated!

Owned a 99 grand marquis for several years (close enough)

Big smooth riding car. DD'd it for at least a year before I picked up a Hyundai Accent. After that I did use it regularly in the winter when there was snow on the roads. Did ok (fun) in the snow. Starting facing uphill was sometimes a challenge, I blame the E36 M3 tires on the car. Also you have to turn off TCS if you want to get around anywhere.

Awesome car for long trips. Eats up the miles in comfort. I even loaned it to my sister and her husband and they drove from VA to CA and back one summer.

Liked it enough I would buy another without hesitation. Was cross shopping these with Mazda5's, but my wife and I have decided the 5 would be more efficient for my long commute and be more practical space wise when she pops out the baby.

ive only had mine for ~8 months i think but it has been a smooth riding, low maintenance car. if you do get a p71 make sure it has the lsd, not as many p71's had them as most people think and i really wish i would have checked before i got mine, but in the one snow we've had this year it never gave me a problem even with the open diff

Had my CV Sport (P71 with a nice interior and wheels) for almost a year, fine 4 season car for me but I grew up driving RWD in the snow.

I liked it enough to spring for a Marauder. I am sold on the joys of the panther platform.

I have had more than 15 Panthers, at least 6 were P71 The main issues I found were, rear fender rust (Ohio), occasional fuel pump(earlier models), windows (PM me for easy fix), every now and then one plug wire goes bad and you get a low acceleration stumble.

I never had one issue with plugs in around 1,000,000 miles of use with multiple drivers.

Use snow tires in winter if needed, that said I did not get stuck once, in any of them.

Best years are after 2002 due to revised suspension
