As dumb as that name is, it's not as dumb as "Le Car".

OH FSM! You drunken pirate bastard, how could you tempt me at the exact moment when I have $500 my wife doesn't know about?

An electric LeCarcass!

I have an acquaintance that is restoring one of those.

I offered to help him resto-mod it with modern electric forklift parts, but he wanted no parts of that, all original or not at all was goal. I should probably forward this to him, it might be the only way make his "right"

It even comes with comprehensive documentation, and a clean title. What more could you want?

Probably, and all those old dead batteries are probably worth $100 at the scrap yard. When lead scrap was really high they'd have been worth twice that.

It's worth $500 for a rust free, low mileage roller. Dump the electrics and put in a FWD drive train of your choice. That's a 1700 pound car. Anything over 100 HP would be entertaining.

I love that they spelled it lectric.

My dad and his old cronie buddies were hanging out one day talking about their cars. One old duffer asked another what LS meant on his car.

"Lectric start".

I about fell out of my chair.

Y'know, if you dumped the lead-acid batteries and put in a bank of Braille Lithium-Ions in their place, that thing would probably work pretty good.

Those are $180 bucks apiece, so a bank of 5 is about $900. They also would trim the weight by about 150 lbs. There would be plenty enough space to bank 10 of them in that space if you need more range.

Or do what Nacho did when he did the hybrid Fiero- find some old hybrid batteries, and figure out how to change via the wall.

yes- should be charge, I'm not sure how to charge a hybrid battery system effectively via the wall. Nacho left his car purely hybrid.
