Got the Malibu read for Vir Sunday with new wheels and tires an a strut tower brace from the Malibu SS.
Been driving it to work for the past three days with no problems.
Jump in it this morning and turn the key and as normal lights and radio come on. Go to turn the key and everything dies. No lights, no radio or door locks, and no attempt to start.
Take the key out of the ignition and can hear some electric noise from the front, put key in and try again and sound like some electric sound or speaker static from the rear but still no start or radio or headlights.
Going to disconnect the battery and charge it and check the fuses when I get home tonight.
Anything else simple I can look into before taking it somewhere?
Sounds like a battery to me.
Will put my Cobalt battery in it while I recharge the Malibu battery and see what happens.
Here's hoping.
Not much to worry about. Sounds like a bat-reh.
This is just been a week from hell and the slightest thing is putting me in panic mode.
Just trying to troubleshoot beforehand.
Sounds like a battery, but it could be a drain somewhere.
I know with my van I had a good battery and a sensor went out keeping the interior lights on and that killed the battery. But not sure how old your battery is, or what kind of sensors (if any) would be on your Malibu.
Replaced the battery last night and it fired right up.
On an unrelated note I dug a grave for my cat last night as well.
As I said, one hell of a week.
Thanks everyone.
Sorry to hear about the cat, but glad the Malibu started up.
Cat isn't dead yet. But thanks all the same.
Putting him down tomorrow evening after I come home from my grandfather's memorial service (and possible ash spreading pending legalities) on the Battleship North Carolina.
Then VIR Sunday.
One hell of a week...
