I just sold a set of those wheels, that would be a sweet summer cruiser.
It's Stroseks or no sex!
A well done Strosek conversion doesn't look bad, especially if you upgrade the lights to HID.
That G50 needs turned around and flipped, mid engine style. Why? Because racecar!
I wonder what DDing this would be like.
I bet the handling is evil and it's not remotely bearable to drive due to absence of any climate control save the side windows, but it would be fun to troll the local PCA with, just to see the offended double-takes and general mortificaiton.
Or, la least MY local PCA. Yours might be nice. Mine, not so much.
That whole situation could be salvaged with a simple ducktail spoiler, and some detail work. Clean up the electrics, pop in some 993 hardback sport seats, and have a blast.
The handling must be, uh, terrifying.

Actually, Rod Simpson and Renegade Hybrids both have been building these cars for decades and had good luck withthe handling when they go to the widebody /Turbo style rear wheels. They barely weigh more than the 911 Turbo back there, but have better power delivery for more predictable handling than the Turbo. I've had the good fortune to drive a 350 powered one and it's actually not that bad.
This one looks to have an aluminum intake and possibly aluminum heads, so it's not quite as much weight back there as it might first appear.

Kill it with fire. I didn't know it was possible to ruin a 911, but I was wrong.

The only thing I hate is the headlights. Other than that, I'd rock it hard.
Seems well worth $7500 obo. Probably the most interesting potentially $6000 car that I've seen in a while.
I'm with Dave, Kill it with fire. They've removed everything that made a 72 special. I'm not convinced it's a 72 either. The easily removed tag might say 72, but that's got some weird pieces on it that make me not so convinced. For instance the blacked out trim and the power brakes.

As long as CA DMV recognizes it as a 72 awesome because then its smog exempt

It's a salvage title car. I'd bet that there was little left to make it special anyhow. You can't ruin a salvage title car.
You'd think that we were on some sort of purist forum all of the sudden.
uh, its a 911, who cares if they "ruined it?"
*flame suit on, but seriously?
When 90% of a particular model of car are in the hands of "collectors" and "enthusiasts," I think its ok to let the salvage title ones go to people who want to body kit and v8 them and do something mildly fun and/or interesting with them.
Take your tweed pants off and let your hair down. geez.
needs more rotary! and then put that v8 in my truck!

Agreed. Find a way to put a more original looking Porsche fitment light in it and I'd wail on that thing.

Oh, if only I had a nickel for every time I've said that.
I don't like the headlights. Otherwise I'd do the LSx swap and rock on.
In reply to Chris_V:
Call me a purist I guess. 72s had some special one year only bits that are very tough to find and don't retrofit to any other year.
Ohh and aren't we all "enthusiasts"?

And probably weren't on this salvage title car when the project was started.

If i had the money i would rock that hard, only thing i would change is the front end and install an interior. Ac and heat could be installed with the right amount of creativity, expense and OCDness
